Am down. It's the second time of the year that I'm sick with something and this time, it's not even my fault. Thanks to all the colleagues who go to work sick and having to work with clients sniffling and coughing (usually without a hand covering), it was only inevitable. I find myself easily irritable because of this flu too. Little things. Like how this guy in front of me at the ATM today was trying to get $1 out. Seriously?? And you wonder why the machine spat your card out? AND YOU'RE STILL GOING TO TRY AGAIN? Wasn't going to miss my bus, so ended up being poor. The entire day. With maybe a few coins to my name.

Then I get home and wanted to blog something happy, but next photo in line was this.

Seriously, this place pisses me off. On a better day when I'm not sick and irritable, maybe I won't be so mean, but too bad for them...

The first time we went, it was more a stumbled upon place, not planned and had 0 knowledge of what it was going to be like.

Was really there just for a quick snack and drink. I already had my daily coffee that day so I had their earl grey tea which was good... and didn't order their woodfire pizza because we already had lunch, so we ordered dips, which was alright as well.

Their creme brulee was quite interesting... though I forgot why now. Something to do with a different topping instead of the regular caramlised sugar... they added crushed pistachio or something.
I didn't have any problems with them the first time.
Then the other day, at around 11:45am, we went there hoping to try their pizza. Was in a bit of a rush for time because that was the day we had Disney on Ice! :D They wrote on the board and the menu that they start serving lunch at 11:30 so that was good. We went in and was told to sit anywhere really because it was quiet (gee, wonder why) and was given the breakfast menu only.
We inquired about the lunch menu and was told it'd be available in 15 minutes.
Fair enough, we'll just order breakfast.
Seeing a guy wandering around cleaning tables, I flagged him down to order. He told us to chill and walked away without taking the order =______= Only then did I discover he was the barista and for some reason, that seemed to have either offended him or he was simply in a bad mood that day. Made horrible coffee. Literally, he sat the cup on top of the counter and sloshed milk into it. I'm no snob when it comes to coffee *sniff*, but I do expect baristas to properly cup each and every coffee they make, especially if you're paying good money for it... and ESPECIALLY from a restaurant going by the name of macchiato. If you pride yourself in your coffee, at least do it right!
Destroyed any hopes of having a good day after having bad coffee and bad service. Not going back.
